Dangerous Information

And a new web series that I probably won't - definitely won't - have time to watch, but that promises to deliver how-to information that I (and probably you should as well) value. Nothing you couldn't find elsewhere, but perhaps a timely reminder that you forgot to look...

Only 2 episodes posted so far, on how-to lock-picking and growing medical marijuana (sadly not for profit. Doesn't matter, going gold panning in BC, will have that one sussed in 6 months I'm sure...). Future episodes promise to teach us how to make moonshine, hot-wire a car, DYI explosives, hacking, etc.

Looks promising. Knowledge is power. Get some more knowledge.

CUFF & SpokenWordFestival 2012

Both on the same week, sadly I'm still working.

Tomorrow, hopefully, one (or both) with the boy. We caught the poetry reading on Wednesday at the Auburn, but missed so much more. My only day off, the rest had to slip away...

Should you have the day free and can plead (how?) that you didn't know, here's a heads up to the final day of the CUFF and Calgary Spoken Word Festival.

Yes, far, far too late, but there was no way I could attend either to my satisfaction. Apologies for posting so late.

Mirage Men

Or is it a link of the day?

Filed under "Ideas and Questions" because I can't seem to make up my mind.

Possibly a curious film  - the trailer seems good (they always seem good) - a variety of takes on the UFO Phenomenon.

Personally, I don't believe or disbelieve. I think that without a doubt there's other (generously assuming that we are as well...) intelligent life in the universe. Whether they've visited us or not, well, there I'm skeptical. And I'm damned sure they've never spoken to or abducted - even once - Whitby Strieber.

But a good idea for a documentary - like the book (not film) "Men who stare at goats" should make you question your beliefs, not confirm them. And there are a surprising number of very credible witnesses to the UFO Phenomenon that I don't quite know what to make of...

So - Ideas and Questions it is - Link of the Day filed under Ideas and Questions: http://www.miragemen.com/. Possibly very curious.

11 Early Scathing Reviews of Works Now Considered Masterpieces

Mental Floss is always good. Follow the links beneath for more interesting and irrelevant trivia. And wonder how many masterpieces never survived the reviewing to be reconsidered from a kindlier and more enlightened perspective...
