Small Uranium Glass Vase/Perfume Bottle
The find yesterday, a small (3" diameter) Uranium Glass Vase. My camera doesn't capture the UV spectrum well, but it fluoresces a bright yellow/green under UV light. 25 Cents, curious as to what it will fetch on eBay, bought it on a hunch (the slight fluorescence in daylight), need to bring UV light with me and see if I can't find more pieces. Other finds of the day included a pair of antique candlesticks, with nicks in the bases where they'd been converted to Electric light, "A History of Russia" by Bernard Pares and "Street of Crocodiles" by Bruno Schulz. Left a couple of antique candlesticks at VV, too expensive and one, beautifully aged and polished beyond shape and recognition, but missing the push-up lever, shame, but I don't need more junk...

Takkakaw Falls
This Sunday's prospecting trip a fail, largely due to the fact that the car developed a flat tire, and by the time I sourced another at Pick & Pull Calgary (brand new, on rim, $25.00) it was too late to reach any points of interest. So Tour guide again, this time to Lake Louise, (amazed, there really are selfie sticks, watching all the tourists with them made me want to beat them with it, watching themselves in their phones, not taking time to look at the scenery, this can be done later from the comfort and safety of their home...), Then Takkakaw Falls (good photostittch below), Johnston Canyon, Banff, and then home. All in all a thoroughly unproductive day...

Diamonds and Work
And dreams lately, vivid, a pastiche of work and prospecting blurred together, the discovery, my discovery, of diamonds in the glacial tills of central Alberta, but I'll have to move a lot of dirt, blending into work dreams, the owner shouting, looking for the other employees, they're late, pulling the restaurant down with tractors, it's filled with people, one wall removed and they're trying to escape, one more wall and it'll be fully collapsed, every morning I remember them and begin the drudgery again...
