The Empty Locker

Finally, today it's done. "I did it", but it wasn't just me, I had a lot of help from the daughter. It would have been easy had it been anyone else's shit, mine own, it stinks.

I'll say it again. She's a trooper.

That said - Empty Locker, VERY FULL APARTMENT - and only a couple of days to downsize it all. It won't all go, I'm sure, but I have to take the photos, try, at least, always, try...

A lot of shit sold and I don't have the merchant heart I thought I did, in the end it just wore me down, but it persuaded me, for sure, not to go buying any more shit. Not that it would fit...

Returning to ...

Meanwhile, Chef has been fired, the owner is the new Chef and I know better, the lead server in my absence has quit and filed with WCB, only the dishwasher remains as a friendly face...

I've got to find diamonds, ensure this return is short lived, it's the happiest place in the world but there are better things to be doing.

And the list is growing, things to do before I go, need to organize clothes, toiletries, clean (hahahaha) flat, iron, bring current writing projects, a list of things to accomplish while out of body, out of mind, bills, it's back into the mundane ebb of life. But a damned sight friendlier than Calgary...

Spring Break

With the daughter, Edmonton, Drumheller to fossick, the weather opposes us, grey, cold, it was forecast to be warmer. The prospecting trip will be delayed, she hasn't the patience for it yet.

Then a couple of days around the apartment, collecting stuff from the locker, big items, she helps, picks a few of my books, takes Eddington's "The Expanding Universe" and an anthology of classic horror stories, the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, relieves me of a spintharascope and set of nesting Chinese boxes, she's a trooper, this emptying the locker, it's taken it's toll, but I'm almost done...
