Insomnia

No dreams last night, no doubt due to the handfuls of chocolate covered espresso beans I consumed before bed. No sleep either, for that matter, but not for lack of trying. Rather a fugue of images, attempted mandelas to lure me to fall asleep, there were some half remembered fragments, but they disappeared as I drifted in and out. A nap in the afternoon brings me close but there's a knock at the door, the plumber is wondering if he can look at the pipes, he takes his time, I try again. . .scattered images fleeting across my eyelids is all. Tonight, perhaps, will be different. This might help. . . http://www.leogeo.com/ (*Note: You will need to enable pop-ups. No, they won't be the annoying kind that tell you you're the One Millionth Visitor to the site. . .)

Fun Math Puzzles

This page will appeal to those who like a good puzzle. I mean, a puzzle probably several orders of magnitude above what you're used to puzzling upon, but, upon solving any of them you can pretty much count on a scholarship and some serious bragging rights with your friends. Your reputation will be made. Mind you, many of these might not be as tough as they initially appear, and just require a fresh perspective to lay them to rest. Should that be the case with you, try and limit your solving of them to one a day, to give the rest of us a chance . . . .

The Rat King

As I noted earlier, I've been busy working on detailing my summer vacation. A rather long post for a very short vacation, but I hope you'll enjoy. In the interm, to keep up the blogging process (note promises made in February, now just being kept in September) I've thrown up a few things for you to muse upon.

The Rat King

This is doubley good because it's an image as well. People like images when they surf the net. . .
